The Mens Worcestershire 17-24 Handicap Golf League

Welcome to the Worcestershire 17-24 Handicap Golf League 2023

About the League

The League was formed in 2011 by four golf clubs, Bransford, Bromsgrove, Gaudet Luce and The Vale, for players with a handicap index of between 17.0 and 24.0 to play in a competitive team format against other local clubs.

The League is played with teams of 10 players with a handicap index between 17.0 & 24.0 playing pairs betterball Stableford and the team with the highest aggregate score winning the match with the all scores in the match to count for each team.

The 2023 season will consist of 11 teams with two divisions of four and one of three. The best runner up will join the winners of each division in the Semi Finals, where the teams are increased to 6 pairs, to compete for a place in the final.

Matches are highly competitive, but also played in the true spirit of golf, so serve as both a test of Golf and as a social event in the calendars of the players and the clubs they are representing.

With a previous long gap in the the opportunity to play competitive golf due to national restrictions in 2020, the return of normal competition in the 17-24 League is welcome and something for all players to be able to look forward to.
